Secure information management has become a business differentiator. It is important in building and maintaining trust between businesses and stakeholders alike. Fail to keep information secure and your business risks serious damage to its reputation and its relationships with customers, suppliers and employees. All of which will ultimately hit the bottom line.
Iron Mountain commissioned Arlington Research to conduct a study that looked at the important role that trust now plays in business decision making.
3,000 business leaders were interviewed across Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and the US. The study found that trust is so important, that it can make or break business deals. The results showed that most business leaders see customer trust (91%) or partner trust (88%) in their organisation as valuable. In fact, 95% said that trust was so important when making a major business decision, that it now ranks higher than price in the final decision.
The study formed the basis of a marketing campaign and fed into whitepapers, viewpoints, press releases, blogs, social media and infographics and generated extensive global media coverage for Iron Mountain.
